Good Afternoon to all the V's, It's been a while since I was on the foums, 1st time since I landed in South Africa. I was busy with the cricket match we had yesterday which my team lost :( , We had a collapse all of a sudden, which made us lose the game :slap:

Now it is time to look forward to Kruger on FRIDAY    , Really cant wait.

Unfortunately the Nissan X Trail wont be able to make it since it is still repairing, and therefore the Mercedes Benz will have to do. I would like to ask you guys if the gravel roads, are suitable for a C Class or an E Class.

How has the V's been. Hope all is well, I stopped watching the Wimbledon since my fav player got elimineted in the second round  .

In your area the gravel roads are in good condition
It is only the S114 where the condition of the road is poor :hmz:

Hey v-mites. Sorry for the absence but city life is way toooo hectic for a small town girl like me!!!

Heksie, I love your ostrich pics!!!

MK, have a great time in durban!!! The weathers awesome here! It gets a little chilly in the evenings when the wind picks up, but nowhere near the freezing state weather! We went to the beach this weekend and even though the water was a little cold at first, we had an amazing time in the ocean!!! :D :D :D

Cheetah, once again lovely pics! That rhino is rather large! I hope you didn't drink tooooo much punch! :hmz: :hmz:

Kallis, welcome back to S.A!   hope you have an amazing trip!!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hello lovely varsity students :gflower:

So sorry I have being MIA from the forms for so long that it's going to take me a while to read through everything and see what everyone has been up to, etc.

Just thought I'd update you all on what I'm doing seeing as though my next academic venture includes the KNP.... :D

I am busy writing up my MSc in Environmental Science at the moment and have been working on alien fish species (trout and bass) in the Hogsback area. I have been looking at their impact on both the environment and the livelihoods of the local people. I should be done within the next few weeks and then............

I am starting my PhD and my fieldwork is in Kruger
I'll be designing a statistical projection model of how a change in climate due to an increase in CO2 emissions will affect savanna systems (an increase in CO2 results in savanna systems being transformed in woodland systems). Anyway, I'll be looking at soil pH, water systems, biodiversity, vegetation, etc. to determine how species composition will change over the next few decades. I am SO excited I could scream! Knowing that this is what I'll be doing next makes focusing on my MSc very difficult

Anyway, I will be on the forums a bit more often now and I'm looking forward to hearing all your exciting stories!

BF
