Toooo funny Spargs!!
Beepsy, it seems it is only in Joburg that the beerpong craze is strong

None of my PTA or CT friends play it! So you are not alone ne
1. It is a game where the objective is to
make the opposition drink all of their cups2. two pyramids of draft glasses on either side of a table tennis table (7,5,3,1 = 16 cups on each side)
3. Keep your
elbow behind the line of where the table begins
4.
Throw the ping pong ball into the cups on the far side
5. Followed by your partner with his/her ping pong ball. Only after you have both thrown, is your turn over
6. tally the drinks:
-a ball may bounce only once to count
-
bounced into cup =
2 drinks (the one it landed in, and one other)
-
no bounce into cup =
1 drink (the one it landed in)
7. if the
ball bounced once, then hits the
rim of a cup, you may
catch it with one hand, which will result in the thrower drinking one of their drinks (so the bounce throw has high risk, and high reward, the throw on the full is low reward/no risk)
8. If you
drop a rim catch,
you drink (so pick carefully which to snatch at)
9.
Teamwork bonus ... if you and your partner both take the risk to
bounce shot in one turn, and both get it in, there is a bonus drink to be drunk! IE the opposition drinks
5 drinks10.
ONCE in the game, (usually after gaps open from successful throws), you get to call '
re-shuffle' where the opposition brings the cups together, and to the front, making it easy to get cups again
11. You cannot win off a catch, or a drop, you must throw it in the opposition cup to win.
12. the winners may opt for the losers to drink all the winners remaining drinks as well, or they can keep them for themselves
13. the winners stay on table until they are defeated.
I hope I phrased it simply enough
