As an adult a succession of about 40 different Hondas (including at least 10 CRV's and a CRX) , a few Merc Benz 200's and a few different converted Mercedes Benz 1417 tour trucks and the odd double cab , a Sanparks Toyota single cab on a lot of the no-entry roads around Satara area and a Toyota Prado on many of the no-entry roads along the Sweni , Mimondzo , Ngotso areas .
Oh yes , and at least 2500km in various Sanparks Toyota Land Cruiser and Hi Lux vehicles on the way to the trails camps .

When we first started going to Kruger back in the early 80's we had a Ford Granada station wagon, quite rare, it was an import, not by us tho.
Nice car but could be a bit of a temperamental beast at times!

Nowadays we have a BMW X5, makes travelling around the parks such a pleasure.

When we went to KNP the first time in 2005 for a daytrip we used my 2000 Nissan Hardbody d/c 2.4i. From 2006 we started caravaning and I still use my trusty hardbody to take us and the Gypsey Regal to KNP ,this year will be our 6th visit to KNP still 42 days to go

They do not seem to last very long . Rough on your vehicles Ndloti

Our first visits during the 1960s were in Dear Old Dad's Holden, then in a Toyota Corona then as from 1973 to 2000 in a 110 Landrover with a 4 cylinder 2.4 Rover Engine - wonderful vehicle. Then a few Fords the Telstar was very good. Now we use the ISUZU DC or our JEEP Grand Cherockee, very satisfied with both.

In line with ndloti's vehicles, I have also mountain biked in KNP, and canoed (Fluid Synergy) in the Mozambique side of the transfrontier park

Currently looking like I will be stuck in my VW polo classic, before I can upgrade to a Landie of some sort Will have my custom made G@mespotter sticker on the boot on my next trip

Still prefer Sawubona's Landrover Discovery. Massive windows, high clearance and easy to drive. One day

My First trip to Kruger was in 2005 in a ISUZU DC and it has been the same ever since
this year will be the first time pulling a caravan but so far it has been a very reliable and economical vehicle.

Only 15 more sleeps before we are in kruger again

As a kid we had a Ford Cortina Stationwagon and then the trusted VW Kombi. Different vehicles like Ford and Nissan Sentra while married, but the best one ever was a 1996 Mitshubishi Pajero we borrowed for a trip in 2008 to KNP when our car was "out of order".
From that day onwards, I'm longing to buy one

My first visit of plenty to come was in Dad's 1970 Merc. Then he upgraded to a kombi. First that cute loaf-like kombi's, then later the 2.whatsoever litres and to date a 2.1 kombi. Just love it, think it is the best kruger vehicle by far. It is his official Kruger vehicle and is taken out only before park visits, serviced and ready to go. I mean, evel the coolbox fits in perfectly between the two front seats. My kids' favourite seat when visiting with Oupa and Ouma.
Must say, also love SO's Pajero. It's got a sunroof too

Just hope you don't poke your head out through the sunroof when you are in a SANPark!
