Absolutely beautiful paintings Painter! I also love the Baobab, but cannot really choose a favourite between these three works of art!

Hey Painter. Hope you are well Beautiful work. Must be amazing to actually take time out in the park to paint there. I esp love the baobab but the dogs and the lion are very close behind!! You really get to take a bit of the park home with you when you leave. Amazing --

May I ask, Painter - how long approximately does it take you to do one of these masterpieces?

Hi all, thanks for the wonderful comments - really appreciated. As a professional artist I also need to paint other subject matters, but wildlife art and landscapes remain my passion. Particularly when I must go and "work" in Kruger.

@ OWN - - It depends. In my studio things go a bit quicker because all my equipment is set out and ready. Painting while camping has its challenges - wind, dust, space, time setting up etc. Oil paintings take a while to dry so I pack them on the back seat of my car and so on. But on average about a week. However I usually work on more than one at the same time so can't really say.

Amazing stuff, Painter. Hope you sell your stuff for a packet! Your talent deserves that.

It's been a very long time since I was here posting, although I often read the posts.
Anyway, I'm still painting and surviving as an artist and blessed to spend a lot of time in Kruger.
Anyone know exactly where this is?

I love the delicate colours and the contrast between the nearby rocks and the beautifully-rendered hazy distance. I couldn't tell you exactly where it is, but it looks familiar!

My latest wildlife painting - one of those I just had to do:

I don't know how, but you have managed to bring sadness into this painting; something to do with the rhino's face (the eye?). Such an excellent and appropriate portrait at this time. Love the colour work.

That is just stunning Painter and certainly a wonderful tribute to our Rhinos.
