I think that one will get some funny, as well as close to the heart stories that resulted in choosing a specific name :hmz: .

We have met Nkulu and know how special her Forum name is to her. Thanks for sharing :D .

Well mine I decided on because I absolutely adore the singing of the Woodland Kingfisher it is so 8) hence my Avitar matches.

:( What a HUGE pity they do not frequent our neck of the woods, during their summer stay.

Of all the birds that sing this by far my favorite

I am very bias to my home town and my local rugby team (Stormers) and on a day when the South Easter could easily blow you all the way accross the ocean..... Cape of Storms seemed very appropriate!

I'd prefer it blow me to Kruger though.....

Always fascinating to see how the aliases were arrived at; sometimes quite obvious (like mine), but sometimes couched in interesting circumstances. :hmz:

Mine I'm not sure at all................ :hmz:

I love lions with a huge passion.......and I joined because I wanted to know something about the Kgalagadi Lions.

It was just after an awesome trip to KTP where we saw lions each day and 27 on one day........so that must be where the queen part came from????

I'm sure the "Queen" part has always been fitting - perhaps an expression of your subconscious!

I can't wait to get back to Phala next month, and hear my first Woody!!! A wonderful sound, synonomous with Kruger summers!!!

Trrp-trrrrrrr, your Avatar looks like a Malachite Kingfisher, not a Woody (but maybe I'm wrong!!)

Having said that, I love all Kingfishers, and in fact the Woody is my fav sound and the Malachite is the fav look, so your name and Avatar is perfect!!
