This is Billy, he is a rescue dog from FORA (Friends Of Rescued Animals). He was kept in a cage 2m x 3m with 15 other dogs for more than a year. Being a small tender hearted dog and at the bottom of the pack, he survived by eating the feces of other dogs. We were so privileged to find him and welcome him into our family. He has proven himself as the most loving, gentle of spirit, precious, and loving dog. A true girt from GOD!

Oh Siobain, how heartbreaking, can't believe people can do that to this beautiful dog, but he is a very lucky little boy to have found a wonderful home with you.

What's so tragic is, the thousands more dogs like Billy who haven't found a good home, and have to live there lives in misery. I don't even want too think of that. People should have to have a license to even think of owning an animal.

Give Billy, Tessie and your other dog, a big hug from me.

Oh Siobain! It is absolutely heartbreaking to even think about those poor animals in shelters!

You were just as privileged to find him as he was to be found by you! What a lovely animal!

Thanks Hilda! Yes it is always sad to see how many animals are packed into these shelters. :(

I wish all dogs in shelters could have an experience like those in the Soi Dog Shelter in Phuket.
They have over 400 dogs there - no that is not a typo! The shelter is over many acres and has incredible facilities on it so that the doggies can live in communal groups carefully selected and monitored to ensure no bullying or fights. Dogs with special needs are kept in runs. There is a vet clinic on site and they are fundraising for a brand new hospital. They do not turn away any dog. Every dog gets a chance even those with terrible medical conditions needing operations or long term care. They even have a night nurse! Volunteers from all over the world come to Soi Dog to help the Thai staff groom, feed, walk and play with the dogs, giving up some of their holiday time or even travelling just to volunteer. :D

Siobai - our Uzzie (see list above) is also a FORA baby. If I had the space I would love taking more of them. Our Freddie (again see list above) is from Wetnose.

Our pets never fail to surprise!
Greyspot the cat has ventured indoors now and is coming back to her old self. She does have a gaping hole in her neck behind her ear but it is pink and clean and will heal in time.
Usually Tokoloshe dog, the 'naughty' one, tries to give our cats a bit of a hurry up and 'rolls' them when they have let their guard down and are asleep.
But this morning I got up early and went outside for a few minutes. On return I find Toki on the lounge with Greyspot. There is Toki with what I can only describe as a 'concerned' body language, licking the wound on the cat......and the cat was very relaxed and appreciative (as she can't reach it herself).
My SO, who was home most of the day, said that Toki shadowed the cat whilst she stayed inside and displayed this 'concerned' behaviour the whole time.
I guess it shouldn't surprise me that the 'naughty' one is also the most sensitive and intelligent! :)

Threedogs is Toki a female?

I have found it's the mommy instinct that just kick's in.

We had a Ridgeback that was impossible till my son (first born) came into our lives from that first day she was the babysitter and we never had any trouble with her behaviar again, it's like she had something to full her restless nature.

Hi everyone

Here is the new addition to our family. Our little Spynx kitten named Cheetah. She is now 5 months old and the most adorable and kind cat I have ever seen. She is very affectionate and loves our English bulldog Simba. I will post some video's later on, but here is some pics for you first.

In this picture Cheetah was just 6 weeks old

Here she is 13 weeks and it's her first day at her new home. She loves giving kisses to my son Eric

13 weeks... Shes getting to know the stuffed toys in Eric's room. And she loves them.

From day 1 she slept in Eric's bed. The 2 of them are inseparable

These pictures were taken today. SHe is 5 months old. It's so cold here in Holland, with snow and temperatures of -10 that I decided to buy her a little sweater. She loves it. Even gave me some nice poses for my photo shoot. LOL

Roaneric, lovely cute cat. A lot of people find these types of cats different, but I believe they are very loving and sweet.

Hi onewithnature

That is true. I've had very good, but also very bad reactions about her. Some people even find her scary looking. But I have to say she has the softest and most gentle personality I have ever seen. She never bites, never uses her nails when she plays and she is very funny. She's like a quarter dog, quarter cat, quarter child and a quarter monkey
