Method

In the potjie fry the onion, beef and garlic for about five minutes in the oil. The coals should not be too hot. Add the chopped bell peppers and tomatoes and keep on frying for another 5 minutes. Add the chili flakes, sugar, Worchester sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Give a good stir and add the beer. Cover the potjie and let it slowly potjiekos for about 3 hours – do not let it burn. When done and the meat is tender stir in the yogurt. Serve with stywe mieliepap or rice. Should you require a bit of green sprinkle with parsley.

3 E sagte Botter
1 k strooisuiker
Klits goed. Voeg 3 eiers een-een by & klits elke keer goed.
1 k koekmeel
knippie sout
1 t bakpoeier

Sif die droe bestandele saam & voeg om die beurt met 'n kwartkoppie melk by die bottermengsel.
Skep die deeg in 'n plat tertbak. Rangskik stukkies ingelegte tertappels oor die hele oppervlak van die deeg. Strooi kaneel oor en bak vir ongeveer 45 minute by 180 grade C.
Terwyl die tert bak, kook 250 ml room + 1 k suiker saam op die stoof tot 'n dik stroop. Haal die tert 10 min voor die tyd uit, druk vol gaatjies met 'n vurk en gooi die stroop oor om in te trek. Bedien met styfgeklopte room, roomys of vla.
Variasies:
Enige ingelegde vrugte bv gesnyde perskes in plaas van appels
Kaneel met gemmer vervang
Skoot maple syrup by die stroop inroer
Louise De Klerk se allerheerlikste appeltertresep.

3 E sagte Botter 1 k sprinkle sugar whisk together well. Add 3 whisk together every time a by a & eiers-good.

1 k cake flour Kady sout 1 to bestandele bakpoeier Sif that droe saam & add to that turn with a quarter koppie milk by that botter mixture.

Gladiator that dough into a flat tertbak. Rangskik piece ingelegte tertappels choose ear that whole surface of that dough. Sprinkle cinnamon ear and bake vir about 45 minute by 180 grade C.

While that tert bake, boil 250 ml room + 1 k sugar saam on that oven to a thick syrup. Get those tert 10 min for that one, press vol gaatjies tyd vurk and throw that syrup ear to pull. Control with roomys styfgeklopte cream, or custard.

Variasies: gesnyde plaas vrugte bv perskes in Any pickled Apples Cinnamon syrup with maple syrup by that inroer replace Skoot gemmer (Translated by Bing)
