Delights of the culinary kind over the Christmas period may let you take on an appearance of healthy proportions

Mix the ingredients carefully and properly and overindulge to your hearts content. Oh for indiscreet over indulgence and delicious decadence not forgetting watching the waistline increasing at an alarming rate.

Rate at which English vocabulary is decreasing in the average teen is baleful and minacious; uuuhhhh, I mean appalling, or, if incomprehensible still, bad. (Three- and four-letter words, especially the latter, seem much more acceptable these days. )

Two by two the animals entered Noah's Ark - will there be a similar life-line available in the future if Global warming increases?

Increases in salaries are always in line with inflation; can't understand what all the fuss is about: after all, inflation is only half a percent.

"Percent" is a small child's pronunciation of "present"; as in: Look at all the percents under the tree...

Picnic do you mean the person on the forum? Sometimes has some pugnacious comments and at other times some very insightful ones. But by all accounts a great person.
