You have two lenses to buy, both are around the 600~700 euro mark. The Canon 100 mm f2.8, and the 17-40 f/4 The 180 mm macro will give you more room to work with, but the pricetag of that is about triple the 100 mm. The 180 is a little sharper though. And the 17-40 works like a dream. On a fullframe camera it will of course give you a way wider view, but at least it fits both kinds of camera.
