A white impala!! I know I have never seen one but I don't think I have ever read of one in a TR. What a great stroke of luck and superb sighting. I love those lazy looking lions too. Great variety. Thanks for sharing

Day 5 (last day)

Ok guys here is our last day of the trip, we entered at Phabeni again. First action were these two young bulls having a full go at each, they threw the kitchen-zink at each other for about 20 minutes before they let us pass.....typical teenagers lol

Image

Next up was this hyena family close to Lake panic

Image

Outside Skukuza gate these gentleman settled some differences in a very mature manner, unlike the ellie bulls earlier

Image
Image

These kingfishers were fishing opposite each other on the bridge

Image
Image

Here we decided to go straight to Tshokwane and not the gravel road behind the Sabie river as planned initially, look what we found!!!

This was the icing on the cake for our trip, they were active as well so we got to see more than those big ears lol. After a great lunch at Tshokwane we headed back past the doggies to find this amazing sighting

Image

It was a massive bull walking straight towards us, then he showed us some magic, I had the long lens on so could not get the full shot in. He almost got two feet off the ground like his cousins up north

Image

Just marvellous!!

Thanks to each and everyone following and commenting on this TR, I need a well-deserved break after this TR, and what better place than Shingwedzi with a rented 200-400 f4.5-5.6 L IS lens with my 5D MII

We are leaving early tomorrow morning, looking forward to more photography with new gear, first-time to SHingwedzi, time out with family in the Park and off course lots of TR material....

I will post some pics of my trip tp Cape Towns National Park when we return...

KNP-Junkee, another very enjoyable and interesting episode.

I can just hear how those tusks clatter at they hit each other and always an entertaining sight to enjoy. :D
To follow that up with some warties - head to head standoff - very unusual and not something one sees every day.
My favourites - kingfishers. excellently captured. :D :D
Wild dogs such an interesting sighting and seems you had a great time with them as per your excellent pics of them.
That elephant standing/reaching up -WOW - this is now a pic of a lifetime - brilliant stuff and moments like these that makes one whole trip.

We are back from Shingwedzi more than 2 weeks now and I am only now getting back on the forums

All I can say is WOW to Shingwedzi, what a nice camp and atmosphere, we've missed out all along, wish I could say that about the roads near Phalaborwa gate though, but luckily no damages and an excellent trip to Shing was absolute bliss!! I have worked on a few pics and will start posting the in a new TR!!
