Thank you all for your kind comments. :)

dellac
Addo is really a wonderful park. On our first day we were really lucky.

Trrp-trrrrrrrr
Those Cattle Egrets seemed to be everywhere.

MM
We didn't expect to see such a green park at this time of the year.

yoda
I had my new Canon EOS M and SO had his Samsung cam.
With the EOS M I could use my Canon EF Zoom lens from my EOS450D equipment.
I'm glad you like my photos.

kids@camping
Welcome on board. This kudu was really a beauty.

lion queen
So we finally saw ellies before we returned to the camp.
During our former visits it didn't take so long until we saw our first ellie.

DASSIEDELIGHT
Welcome, during our visit to Addo two years ago we saw many ellies at Domkrag Dam.
It was spring time and they were walking in flowers. :)

Wild about cats
The fluffy baby zebra was very close to us. :)

We watch the ellies having a bath.

Who is going to be the winner?

Now they leave the water on separate ways.

Do you see the Egyptian Goose family at the dam in the background?

Thank you Trrp-trrrrrrrr. :)

To watch these Ellies was very entertaining. They always have a lot of fun in the water.

There are more elephants in all sizes arriving.

Image

Not easy to reach the water ...

Image

... but this little one was successful.

Image

We watch them leaving the dam ...

Image

...and are on the way to return to the camp.
There are still some zebras at Gwarrie Dam and many kudus in the bush.
This Ellie has white tears ... :hmz:

Lovely TR. The forest is very green.
Great ellie sightings, especially the ellies playing in the water. Beautiful.

Thank you hilda, MM, Wild about cats and Janeli.

Rooidam really provided wonderful sightings.
The little elephant on it's knees was really a cutie.

Back at the camp we fetch the key for our chalet #31 and unload the car.
Watch the very busy view from our patio.
Aren't these the Ellies from Rooidam ?

Image

Image

This is our bedroom. There is no roof over the patio in front of the window.
So you can watch the stars at night without leaving the bed. :)

Image

We discover we are the guests of the swallows.

Image

They have their nest outside under the roof.
Whenever we sit at the patio they join us. It seems they tell us many stories.

There is already someone waiting for the braai, a weaver bird with only one foot.

Image

Sorry, no braai today, we will have dinner at the restaurant.

This one takes care of the fence.

Image

The Ellies can get very close to the fence. The fresh green bush attracts them.

Image

And there is still space for the kudus to lay down.
