Here is our first ever trip report which we hope will please all the mites who choose to read it.
THURSDAY 24TH OCTOBER
After our flights from the UK and a 1st night stop in Kuruman we finally arrived in KTP at 2.10pm. We were greeted by a sand storm and extremely dark threatening clouds! We hope it’s not going to be like this for a fortnight!
We checked in to cottage no. 28 at Twee Rivieren camp. We located Jannie and gave him the donated clothes we had brought with us.

Here is the reception building.

We drove back to camp and at last the wind seemed to be calming.
Arrived back at 6.55pm. We had dinner on the patio watching lightning in the distance.
To be continued....

:yaya: PF and DD

Your cheetahs are indeed a family. It's Elena with her offspring. The cheetah standing up is the male cub.

They were seen very often at that time (and before) and I suspect Elena was leading them away from her territory as they must be at the age of departing soon (and maybe already have by now).

Elena's cubs are as big as her now - difficult to say who is who by now, if you don't look at the spots carefully.

Wonder what those to goshawks were up to.

Lovely episode!

Thanks for the praise gatita, but your compliments must go to DD as she is the photographer.
I have enough carrying my binoculars, telescope and tripod without the hassle of carrying a camera and lenses as well.
Mind you I'm also the chauffeur so have other things to consider, like driving and spotting at the same time.

Thank you all for your kind comments, more trip report to follow after DD's done the ironing.

Take care wherever you are.

PF and DD.

At least you do the trip report as well. My driver only does the driving and the spotting.
