So there we were, three angels stuck in the mud. For a moment we just sat there with faces like this:
Then one of us said, "what are we going to do?"
"We need to dig the tyres out."
My sister was joking but we jumped out of the car, cautiously, and analysed the situation:
I could smell elephant!
I scanned the bush and everything seemed ok.
We dug behind the tyres until we were happy and then I got into the drivers seat and I reversed with everything the little car had. It screeched and whined but it came out!! I think I scared any ellies away with that noise
I CAREFULLY made the way over the right side and we skid a little bit but we made it through.
We were very proud to have navigated that situation on our own
We went on the S69 loop for a quick look for the snipe, but for the first time with all this rain, we found this.
So we promptly went back to camp, having had enough of flooded roads and I went to see the river, as usual.
However, the rain up north had definitely been more than we had thought!
