A few times in Kruger the 'king' has walked down my side of the car. brushing against it and looked me in the eye a foot away through a thin sheet of glass. You instinctively want to pull your head away, but that won't help if he decides he likes you!

We have also had wild dogs do the same, and one is tempted to pat them as they walk almost under one's armpit. This time the window was open.

Less dramatic is avoiding a scorpion on a mission to find food.
Whatever (according to BB): "You are correct but I don't want to admit it".

@ Anne-Marie

Sorry, on a TV station up here called Animal Planet, they always call them brown-spotted hyenas. I guess I am used to them being called that.

@BB - The lady that was driving the vehicle when I was down there, she was a researcher on the Kalahari Meerkat Project and her name was Jess. I told the people I was with when we came up on the male lions, If that lion wants in here I don't think this window is going to stop them. The only that will save us is Jess starting up the car and us hauling it out of here".

I will definitely have to say with all these incidents, IT WAS DEFINITELY WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION !!!!!!!!!!! lol

I ended paying with airfares and all the accommodations there in KTP, Meerkat project and staying in Cape Town, I paid $14,000. I had people here telling me, "you could have bought a car with that" and my response to them was, "If I had the money again, I would be on my computer booking my next trip...forget the car."
