We just missed you, we left the park the 4th. I hope all the cape fox dens still had their kits!

Nice that the lions were back at Grootkolk, they had just left the morning of the day we spent there

Let me attempt a link to my trip report here...

Thanx all :D

@ Pumbaa
Yes, I think we could not complain about that drive up to Grootkolk 8)

@ enrico
It was a pleasure to meet you again and we could have not asked for better neighbours at Grootkolk :D

@ gatita
 It was indeed the same kind of car, but I checked the number plates it was not yours.....
But we talked to others driving this kind of car and it seems to be a general problem, that it uses a whole lot of pretrol and has not really got power :|

@ Trrp-trrrrrrrr
Thanx!

@ SurfCindy
The fact that there is a lot of time between gate closing times in November makes it easier to cover the distance between the camps.

Lovely sightings. Must make the long drive worthwhile.
Indeed

@ melph68
Keeping my fingers crossed for your trip with your Dad next October, I am sure you will love it
Well, we saw quite a few Lions, but weren't that lucky with the Leopards this year.....
But, we saw Cheetahs again, very relaxed and close by.

After all the lions you saw in one day, driving up yo Grootkolk, no wonder the other days felt quiet

@ hilda
Thank you!

@ barryels
It was a busy drive

@ lion queen
Always so special to have the Lions at Grootkolk....
Sitting outside and observing them, priceless...

@ anne-marie
Will see what I can do, cropping the pics of the Cheetahs :D

@ MM
Thanx!

@ wildcatzoo
We must have missed each otehr only by hours :?
Fortunately we saw many cape Fox dens with little ones 8)

@ sable
Mongooses are always great to observe and I love the sightings outside the camps

Well, the Brown Hyena was back at the waterhole again shortly before the light went out...
Not a great pic, so I tried to do something artistic with it

We thought the Lions had been gone, but in the morning we discovered that there were fresh Lion tracks underneath our "bedroom" window  ....

On the way back to the camp we found a Cape Fox Den close to Unions End.
With very small pups....
So cute!

Then they disappeared in the den and it was time to return back to Grootkolk....
Here near the t-junction to the camp a Mongoose...

The evening at the waterhole was quiet, but then Jackals and later the Brown Hyena visited again.....
