umtali1, Guess who is back :D , I managed to catch from 10 Dec'13 - the last time I posted something on your TR - but at least, I managed to catch up on all your excellent 'Nuggets'.

You had some excellent sightings , but the one that really got me interested is the sable sightings at Talamati. It is the one sighting that kept on alluding me despite travelling the S36 a few times. :D

Great pics and thank you for sharing - really enjoying them.

Delighted you are still enjoying our nuggets

Bateleurs and black eagles are my favourites of all time. Alas we don't see the black eagles very often in the KNP as they prefer kopjies for nest sites. :( Shall just have to return.........

An Endangered Species.

This is a celebration of the rhino, a magnificent beast with its prehistoric coat of armour and superb horns for which they are being cruelly, remorselessly and senselessly slaughtered.

We shall not reveal where we saw any of the sightings of which there were thirty or more. So sit back and enjoy them while you can.

We have included a video to celebrate these magnificent beasts, especially for anyone who has climbed aboard later in the trip. So apologies if you saw this very early on in our journey.

Let us all hope that reason will prevail and the slaughter of any creature just to satisfy a human fantasy will stop before it is too late and all creatures will be there for our grandchildren and great-grandchildren and beyond to see and enjoy.

We really do have the most beautiful flora and fauna in South Africa which we should cherish and encourage future generations to preserve so that they too will be amazed at what we have as in the next nugget…..

Thank you for "my" Fish Eagle Umtali1! He is beautiful!

I have just caught up on a few episodes. The January floods were so devastating! But fortunately, SANParks worked so hard to repair what they could, while nature has already done a good job too!  However, there are still lots of signs of what had happened. :(

Stunning Rhino sightings! It is so sad that so many of them are killed, I don't even want to think about it while watching these majestic animals. Great video too! I don't mind to look at it several times!

Indeed, Umtali      may reason prevail.

What lovely images of this vulnerable creature. I do love the mom and baby shot. May this continue.

That baby was sooooo tiny. Sadly, I think we have a very long battle on our hands to save these innocent creatures. :(

Hilda, pleased you have had time to catch up  There is something very distinguished about the fish eagle.
