Wonderful lion and cheetah sightings Gatita   .

Also love all the birdie sightings  .

That must have been strange to be the only occupants in camp :hmz: .

It was wonderful to have the camp all to ourselves and especially to have the control of the waterhole lights, Barry. :D

Another sweet little rodent. :D Thank you.

I just love your pictures of roads less traveled. I always want to jump straight into a car and try them out.

I think I might have already mentioned that I love mice, MM. :D

We were very worried to drive that road but it was easy to get to Gharagab.

and left the camp at 08:45 am. We drove slowly as Andries and Eric had told us about a meerkat den. We found some holes and scanned the area. Something was moving

but it was not a meerkat. I had found my whistling rat! Yeah, tick number two. Now only the porcupine was still missing. A little bit further on there were even more

We had read that the exit road is terrible and were surprised that we managed it quite well. That was before we arrived at the last dune. My SO insisted on trying the left route although the right one looked better. After the third unsuccessful try he threatened to give up and let me drive. Instead he tried the right route at full speed and managed it on the first go. A little bit later we met a nice couple who were on their way to Gharagab. They told us that our problems were caused by the tyres which were only deflated to 1.6 and not to 1.2.
