Lionspoon - Thanks for confirmed the bird ID and Penny says she did not realise how much work doing the trip report is now she has to audit. :hmz: :hmz:

MxM - Thanks for confirmed the bird ID. Regarding powering things in the car we bought a battery charger designed for cig lighter from the camera manufacturer. It worked very well. We always have spare batteries anyway just in case but could to keep them charged just in case.

anne-marie - Thank you for the nice comments.

Cape of Storms - Thanks for the nice comments. We meet in Kruger and I see you have another trip report which looks like you had a great trip. Yes I also really like the eye contact in these photo's.

hilda - Thanks for the nice comments and sorry to here you have been stung it is not nice. Regarding the gin small things become important when you need to be basically self sufficient for 25 days.

Kesheshe,

I love your bat-eared-fox pictures. They are great.
Also like your dove pictures very much.

We did not notice bees around the huts at Nossob (probably because they spent their time on the camping site), but the two picnic places between Twee Rivieren and Nossob were full of bees so that stopping for a picknick was not possible).
Good to hear your SO found the perfect drink for you :D

Waiting for more........
Nina

Also hanging around at the waterhole quenching their thirst.

Wildebeest

After a gestation period of 8 - 9 months, Wildebeest give birth to a single calf. All wildebeest give birth 2 - 3 weeks before the rainy season and within 15 minutes of being born, a youngster is able to stand.

When the calf reaches 4 months old they are weaned, although sometimes they will suckle until they are a year old. Females reach sexual maturity at 1.5 - 2.5 years of age, while males reach sexual maturity at 3 - 4 years of age.

This time they ARE squirrely, as - I'm sure - Penny has also told you.

Very cute with the little one on top of it!

Penny :yaya:

Go and try collating the words and the pictures - even more work than auditing.

Those BEF sightings... Indeed far and few between. What a shame - I really love watching them,
especially when they are out and about and listening to the stuff in the ground with their huge
ears.

Your photos are simply stunning - still gotta lot to learn.

Btw, how did you guys make that beloved coffee in the wilderness camps? Is there a gas stove to boil water?

Some of those squirrel pics with the little one are amazing! So happy the little guys get some screen time
