@Carol g Only a pleasure, hope you have an awesome time!
@isinkwe he sure was and it was great to just chill and watch him do his thing!
Cape of Storms, most enjoyable TR so far.
These ellies can give a real scare and I am telling you, it is not 'funny' at all. Afterwards one can only laugh, I guess more of relief than anything else.
Lovely pics along the Timbavati - also a favourite of mine.
I am enjoying all the great
Thanks so much - they are certainly freaking me out!!!
To me, all Ellies can turn into angry Ellies! I stay far away from them!
I am definitely starting to agree with you!!! Thanks!

Lovely to see the water hole, so familiar.
Oh dear, to be there right now. sigh
I share your sentiments! Can't believe it is almost 3 months ago since I was there!
@ Trrp-trrrrrrrr Thanks so much for sticking with me. The Big Fella did a good job of scaring us little guys!
Thanks so much - Zebras are one of my favourites and yes the view was amazing! I will definitely try get back to Orpen soon!!
We do also love to drive along the S39 but gladly had up to now no serious ellie encounter on that road
Thanks so much Cape of Storms
It would seem you are still one of the lucky ones!!
The episode with the ellie made me laugh...reminds me of my SO and my 3 girls who insist on not stopping close to any ellies.
Absolutely love the B/W shot of the Zebra
Great views of the waterhole
Thanks so much I actually didn't realise I was on B/W mode when I took that photo but it worked pretty well! Now we may never stop next to Ellies again!!!

Hey COS, just great sightings and stunning kiekies!
The Ellies, oh what can you do about them, all I can say is don't take the girls to far North, if you read my trip report "First time at Tsendze" http://www.sanparks.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=69789
you will know why, we got charged 3 times and saw more Ellies than Impies..... it seemed that Ellies were around every corner...
I have been enjoying your report!! Love the North and yip we are headed there on this trip so unfortunately we will see some more Ellies behaving badly
