A very special sighting was this little Pearl-spotted Owl early one morning quite close to the road.

More often than not we went past Mooiplaas Waterhole on our way to Thihongoyeni.

Animal-wise it was unusually quiet - we found a small herd of buffalo together with a few zebra there once
