Nearer to Pafuri Gate we found a troop of Baboons drinking from the rain puddles in the road

Hallo NetEk!

Hi there Trrp-trrrrr! :D

While travelling from Pafuri to Mapungubwe we realized the extent and severity of the drought in the north - what the animals survived on was a mystery to me!
Between Musina and Mapungubwe we just had to stop at this Boabab to take a pic!

NetEk - I am sure there are much more coming up that you are familiar with. Stay tuned! :)

We stopped in Musina to try and buy some meat without much success - we could not believe how empty the shelves were. It was past midday when we arrived at the gate. Check-in was quick but we still had to travel the distance to Mazhou Campsite in the western section of the Park.

Barry and Hilda, Cape of Storms and Pumbaa!

Originally our booking was only for Tsendze. Since our last visit to Mapungubwe in 2007 we have been talking of going there again but just never got to it! So, on the spur of the moment I added the night at Punda as a stopover and four nights at Mazhou Campsite and ............ we fell in love all over again! Still cannot believe why it has taken us so long to return to this very special place! Mapungubwe is a nature lover's paradise!

The campsite is awesome
