After the presentation we visited the HR's exhibition - really interesting and educational! I also wanted to see how my pic of the Aardvark (taken in Marakele) looked on the poster of the Secret Seven. :twisted:

During previous visits to the north of KNP we hardly saw any Tsessebe but this time around it was just the opposite! And it seems that it was a good year for them - there were lots of little ones!

Single calves are born from September to November after a gestation period of about eight months.

They are social animals and their basic herd structure consists of small breeding groups consisting of six to ten cows with their offspring.

Hi there Barry! :thumbs_up: The little ones were really cute - one of the reasons I love to visit KNP in the summer!

Although this species remains widespread through sub-saharan Africa, it has undergone a substantial decline during the last 100 years and is threatened by hunting for its meat and competition with cattle.
