Hi, thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures with us all. We would like to visit Kglagadi as we has never been there. Can some-one help us with information.
1. Can we visit the camps with ground tents?
2. Which time of the year you recommended
3. I read about the 3 camps, Twee Rivieren, Mata-Mata and Nossob. Will you recommended that we visit all 3 camps (like in KNP from camp to camp) and in which sequence. We live in Paarl.
4. Can we visit these camps with a bakkie (Corsa, Bantam)

I feel so stupid to ask all these questions but feel like a "vreemdeling in Jerusalem.

Hi Fynbos,

Thank you very much :)

1. Yes you can, thats how we always do it. Its a lot cheaper.
2. I would recommend late winter into early spring or the begining of autumn. Late spring and summer is just way to hot.
3. The 3 main camps are great. I would suggest that you stop at Twee Rivieren first, then make you way to either of the other two (or both), and then stop at Twee Rivieren again before you leave to go home.
4. You can do it in a Bantam, but you will struggle a bit on the parks roads (We often get stuck in the soft sand even in a 2x4), I would suggest you rather look into taking a larger 2x4 or 4x4 to be on the safe side. And take my advice..."Don't" try drive off the road even a bit to turn around or otherwise, chances are you will get stuck eventually!

Its better to ask and find out before you leave for holiday :)

Hi Chad

Thanks for answering my questions. We thought of a 2x4, but my children got a Corsa bakkie so that is why I wanted to know. This year is KNP and next year we take on Kgalagadi.

Thanks again.

Hi Fynbos, KTFP is my most favourite spot in the world, you HAVE to go! A word of warning - beware of the red sand between your toes! :D
