Hi all

Finally after been married to Porridge for almost two years.... I am here and I am going to start my story or trip report for our TR in July/August and this is how it is 3 months and 7 days away and yes this is how excited I am. It's not a case of what you have to pack but...let me explain.my story.

As a born South African my first time in the park was with Patrick in 2009..... which is sad I always knew the Kruger existed but had never been there in my 44 years (at the time) and oh my wow I will never look back...

My first experience was a day trip... and wow was I astonished and shocked once again I need to reiterate the point that I knew the Park existed but had never been into the Park....I was caught off guard because the nature was all there and to be very honest it's like the Kruger just grasps your hand and engrips you to be part of it.

And since that day in October 2009 I am hooked...

2011 - Porridge and I had 5 nights there...Mopani, oh my first night staying the Kruger and wow I was actually dumbstruck... Must admit not going to put any pics on this report it's me introducing myself... Second night was at Olifants and we survived a Tropical Storm and all this time I was loving every moment but getting used too how life is in KP... 3rd night was Skuks not my favorite place oh well... 4th Night Bergendal watched monkeys steal crisps from 3yr old kids and all the time I am thinking Jax you have found your niche....The ultimate Day 5 in Lower Sabie... wow that camp amazes me in so many ways I finally felt at home, the most amazing sunrise in the morning and knowing that it was my last day I was extremely emotional and found myself crying as we exited the gate at Croc Bridge.... Now Jax is so hooked...

2012... Shingwedzi, Letaba, Olifants, Satara, Pretoriuskop..
Mine and Porridge's Honeymoon
What stood out for me on this trip was the amazing Forumites that I met namely Heksie, WendyA, Crested Val,Tedredrum and many more and if I have left your names out please forgive me..We had the most amazing honeymoon ever and this just made me love the Kruger Park with a passion.. And yes on Honeymoon we had the most devastating experience of seeing our first Rhino poaching but that just wants one to fight more and thats why I find myself here right now because I want to fight the cause....When we left once again I found myself sobbing my heart out...

2013..Olifants, Letaba, Tamboti, Mopani
We took our son in for the first time and wow the planning oh wow..My first time in a bush camp I was scared / nervous cos Jaxi is very afraid of snakes... Tamboti was one of of my best experiences never forget thats why am going back this year.
After this trip did anyone know that wolves exist in the Park.. that was my son's version of a Hyena..He will never live that down..

Thanks to PORRIDGE FOR GIVING ME THIS EXPERIENCE.;.

Jaxi - this is such a special read! I can feel, and relate, to your excitement and awe in what you discovered in Kruger.

So looking forward to sharing the build up to your trip in 3 months time

Jax, it has been such a pleasure having you around. :gflower:

I have loved and appreciated the way that you have accepted and thrown yourself into the crazy forum extended family.

You have also tamed Porridge a bit.. at times. .. that says a lot
