Again thank you for all the kind comments.

The next day it was overcast and very cool for December and we didn't mind after the hot weather we experienced the past few days.

We were 500m from the gate when 2 Lionesses walk over the road (not sharp with the bad light, but love the low angle)

Image

Image

At Bedinkt waterhole, a Red Hartebeest and Gemsbok were busy licking the salt.

Image

Nearby a Goshawk (I think the ID is correct, but not sure) was posing for a few shots.

Image

Take off...

Image

On our way back to camp the only decent sighting was a Black-shouldered Kite.

Image

It was time to make brunch, enjoy the cool weather and rest after yesterday's long trip to Unies end and back.

To be continued....more dust storms and rain...

Thank you for the comments...appreciate them all.

We were relaxing at the Guest house when my son spotted a African Wild cat in the camp trying to catch a squirrel.

Image

We decided to visit Marie se draai on our afternoon drive.
First we saw a Lappet-faced Vulture on the ground posing for a beautiful portrait.

Image

At Marie se draai we found a Bateleur busy taking a bath.

Image

Image

Image

The wind start picking up and found ourselves in the middle of a huge dust storm again.

Image

Only a few drops fell and we were blessed with our last night at Nossob with a beautiful rainbow.

Image

To be continued......on our way to Mata Mata.

Thank you for the comments.

Our next stop was Mata Mata for 2 days.
We were packed and our final memory of Nossob was a early morning rainbow with the son rising to create these beautiful colours.

Image

After the rain the Springboks starts returning to the river beds.

Image

To make up time (only allow to book in at 14h00) we spent some time watching and photographing the Squirrels playing in the Auob river.

The baby.

Image

Nothing better than Mothers milk.

Image

Love the depth of field effect.

Image

Image

Play time..

Image

The Sprinkboks got spooked and the running herd posed for a great image.

Image

To be continued...
