Jan, thank you for the Stunning Bird and "not so lucky" Jackal photos. I like your little story with it.

Love the sandgrouse in the water as well as the big yawn moment of the jackal.

The one with jackal hiding and head sticking out makes for a great photo.

We spotted the Bateleur near the camp.



The Kgalagadi is not all about the animals and to be part of a huge dust storm is something to remember.

The afternoon the wind start picking up and thunder clouds building.
We faced the full power of the dust storm.





and then it started raining...





We were glad for the break from the heat and headed back to camp.
Where else can you sit back, look into the fire and reflect back on another wonderful day in paradise .
