We have just had 10 days in the KTP and are on our way to Mokala for a two night stay on our way back to Pretoria.

This will be our third visit to Mokala and it gets better with each stay. We had stayed at Mosu Lodge before and I wrote all about our newest National Park here

If you want rest, relaxation and want to see some of our rare antelopes Mokala is the place to be.

What?

You have not been yet :naughty:

Maybe this will help you change your mind :D

Lilydale has its own entrance gate and there is a two way radio at the gate. Give your details and you are in the park

The road between Mosu and Lilydale is open and the fence is off to so game can now move freely

We had a 5 bed unit, two beds in the loft

Welcome to Lilydale :D

Thank you barryels, tedredrum, hilda, Super Mongoose, Trrp-trrrrrrr

01 January 2013

We had just relaxed the previous evening having arrived at 3.00pm after a long drive from Twee Rivieren. Once again the staff at Mokala were very friendly and very efficient when we checked in. Lilydale now has a restuarant and we used it for lunch and the food was good and not overpriced :D

We basically had today in the park and decided we would drive till Mosu Lodge. Have a break and then return to Lilydale doing some of the other loops on the way back and also spending some time at the bird hide.

The start of 2013 was very good to us :D

Our first sighting was a herd of Roan Antelope  Still to see one in Kruger after many trips there. The roan were skittish but did stop when they got a comfortable distance from the road.
