Well, one good thing one could find with not many critters
visiting GK waterhole is that the question of whether to go
our or not doesn't come up.

And what a special leopard sighting. Historical even. (Pun intended  )
A beautiful guy well captured. By ALL of you.

Mating lions underfoot, gorgeous cape fox, lanner falcon, bateleur, PCG, brown hyena and then to be followed by a leopard that no one reported seeing for a few years

I am so    .

Hi Sharifa,

I had chills reading the last two episodes. The Lions mating under the hide would have sent my wife to the sanitarium. The historic leopard sighting was awesome as well. What a handsome guy!

Thanks so much for sharing!

Sharifa, I have had a lot of catching up to do.

Firstly, a belated happy birthday to the driver. I hope that it was a good one and he could let go and have a totally good time.

Secondly, lovely to meet your special family.

As ever, what a pleasure following your report. I'm afraid my heart is still stuck on the little fox.

more, please.

completely ignoring the haarties

We had followed him for 3 km and 45 minutes before he disappeared into the dunes :D

On the way back to Grootkolk we find a Ludwigs Busttard

a baby gemsbok - looks very much like a roan

then just before Kaa, I tell the driver to stop, honey badgers. There were three of them but on the move and difficult to get good photos

Another great episode with lots of stunning photo's   .

Although N!xau ignored the harties, they did not the same when looking at the photo's :hmz: .

Beautiful Ludwigs Busttard  . On my wishlist for sure :D .

The baby gemsbok is so cute and really does look like a roan if not looking closely  .

Love the honey badger pic's. Must concur they are not easy to get a pic of, however you and Val did great  .
Thanks for sharing  .
