At first I thought you were talking about your last day in general,
but, phew, only the last day at KTC.

An abundance of AWCs once again - doesn't seize to amaze me!

But for the last two episodes - despite outstanding sightings in general -
the owl in the tree and the warthog would be my favourites.
Never got a warthog so close and never saw a pearl spotted in KTP.

Not only what a day - What many breathtaking days you had

and it is indeed difficult to chose a favourite as the AWC kori sequence is indeed funny as in the end of the video you only see the tail of the AWC the kori is running away off

Your Pearl spotted owlet is gorgeous and what great spotter that you spotted her in that hole - Did I already say that I also saw my very first one during our recent trip - The false face is looking funny as well.

Why should you leave the camp when having such sightings at the end of the day

12.11.

It did rain during the night, but the morning already started hot and humid.
One of the many Bee-Eaters we saw on this trip, unfortunately they never were in a good position for a pic.

Image
Larger View

At Sitzas a couple of Jackals were near the waterhole, all looking for a drink, but the waterhole was empty.

Image
Larger View

Again we spotted Kudus on the way to Craig Lockhardt.

Image
Larger View

Of course we once again had a look for the Owl at the waterhole.

Image
Larger View

Just too cute....

And then guess what....
Another Wildcat

Image
Larger View

Image
Larger View

And shortly after that, the next one...

Image
Larger View

A Bee-Eater by the roadside.

Image
Larger View

A Beautiful Kudu near the 13th Borehole

Image
Larger View

And.... Another Wildcat...

Image
Larger View

Due to the rain there were huge puddles in the road, here a Secretary had a drink.

Image
Larger View

These Vultures had a drink before, we could see the track in the road near the water.

Image
Larger View

We had passed the 14th Borehole when we spotted a Wildcat in a tree...
Only back at home having a closer look at the photos on a bigger screen, I discovered that I actually took a photo of two Wildcats... :slap:

Image
Larger View

Ostriches on the way to the waterhole...

Image
Larger View

And .... Another Wildcat.... Sorry ....

Image
Larger View

Here we spotted a strange "couple"....

Image
Larger View

This Giant Eagle Owl seemed to have some kind of a problem....
The head looked nearly bold....

Image
Larger View

In Mata Mata a Hornbill was beautifully singing in a tree next to our bungalow.

The afternoon was very hot again.

Image
Larger View

One of my favourite Agamas

Image
Larger View

This looks like a Starling to me, only that he was nearly white.... :hmz:

Image
Larger View

And another Jackal..... I love to observe them...

Image
Larger View

While we were driving I discovered something strange, we stopped a saw that it was a Rats tale dangling out of a tree trunk....
As soon as we stopped the tale disappeared and only seconds later we saw this... 8)

Image
Larger View

While we stood there and had a good laugh, we discovered something underneath that tree....
A Wildcat....

Image
Larger View

Image
Larger View

She heard the Rats as well.....

Image
Larger View

Later a Giraffe was having a drink nearly in the same spot as the Secretary in the morning....

Image
Larger View

On the way back we checked the Cat Tree again, and yes....... he/she was still there...

Image
Larger View

Later on the way to Craig Lockhardt we could smell some rain in the air.

Image
Larger View

We spotted another Pearl-spotted Owl in a bush beside the road.

Image
Larger View

Our last sighting of the day, a Jackal at Craig Lockhardt.
Beautiful light and always so nice to see them.

Image

We had a wonderful day.
Just unbelievable how many Wildcats we saw once again, I dearly hope that does not mean that we will see none of them on our next trip.
And we still have many, many more days to come on this trip....
