Anyway, a trip of quite some first! A monitor sighting is
something I'd appreciate big times as well. And a striped kingfisher :mrgreen:

We only saw a lager one in Kruger....

09.11.

We started early in the morning, only waited about 10 minutes past gate opening times before heading south....

There was still a bit of mist in the riverbed, this and the cars raising dust created this unique atmosphere at Sitzas.

Just as we came down the hill past Sitzas we discovered something in the riverbed.
Cheetahs with a kill and some Jackals.
It took a little while to ID what they had caught...
t was an Ostrich!

We drove around the next bend, only to find traffic Jam.
But everybody was behaving very well and we actually found a very good spot to take photos.

The giraffe pic in the misty riverbed and the dust creates a beautiful atmosphere :)

Awesome cheetah with their kill :clap: :clap:

They look like they did get to eat well before the jackals took over :thumbs_up:
