Thank you Touareg, melph68, Pumbaa, Trrp-trrrrrrrr, Hilda and barryels :D

@melph68
The Cape Cobra sighting was indeed very exciting

@ Pumbaa
But I guess it would be not a good idea to try and cuddle that Kitty Cat

What it's unusual about that, is that he is not even closer to the braai
The Jackals at Nossob are very clever and smart

@ barryels
Welcome back :yaya:

05.11.

Well today was a really quiet day….
We did not start too early, vsited wanderw for a last little chat before heading towards the northern direction.

South of Kwang we spotted this Whistling Rat.

At Kwang a couple of Wildebeest ad a drink

Soon they were leaving again…

It was a hot day and sightings were rare.
So we returned back to the camp, did some washing and thought if the animals are having a slow day, we can have one too…..

Meanwhile I played around with my camera.

Love the message on the plugs….

Back at our bungalow we discovered a Mouse, how cute she was and really tiny….
We already spotted one of those at Grootkolk, but then she was way too fast and gone in seconds before I had the chance to take a photo….

I guess it’s an African Pygmy Mouse, but still need some help with the ID…..

The cobra - I was very proud of my sister with the cobra incident  - she did not scream  and she moved fast once she saw the snake. Thank you for warning her. :gflower:
I think you should play with your camera more often - love the fire buckets, and 'Total' has never looked so good in SA before!

Nevertheless such visits by nights from these wild cats are gorgeous and your pictures are great - Hopefully one day I will see my very first one

06.11.

This morning we are driving towards the southern direction….
It was quiet until we reached Marie se Draai. Here we found Wildebeest, Kudus, Oryx, Springboks and lots and lots of Jackals….
At times we counted as many as 25 Jackals around Marie….

It was great to see the magnificent Kudus. To observe the interaction between the Jackals. Wildebeest shooing away the Jackals and, and, and….

I'm lagging a bit behind...

Those banded mongoose - wow - I never knew they
existed in KTP. Now I wonder if we might have seen
some as well, but mistook them for squirrels. :slap:

The lion at UE picnic spot - looks very familiar.
As do the stunning weather photos. But by now I learned
that wanderw and markw stayed at GK at the same time
as you.

Those colours really make me go all
Something KTP hasn't granted me this time around. :(

The wild cat at Nossob is probably more like a domestic cat.
Very cute though!

And the kudus were still around as well. Never seen that many
than on this trip. 8)

It was the first time that we saw Banded Mongoose as well, and it seems to be an unusual sighting, as Jannie was VERY surprised (to say the least) when we told him about it....

Spot on LS we were immediate neighbours....
And they were only minutes driving behind us when the thunderstorm arrived.
They had even hail, we missed that :|

Still not going to try and touch her

Indeed there were really a lot Kudus around this time, not only at Marie se Draai, but later athe boreholes in the Auob as well..... :hmz:
