It was now 2pm … we needed to make tracks so said goodbye to Lake Panic and continued on our way.

We stopped in at Skukuza briefly for a quick loo break and a quick bite to eat on one of the benches down by the fence before hitting the road again.

Along the river bed were a herd of ellies …

… and a little further on a troop of baboons …

The babies are so cute and Mum was thrilled when this little one gave her a “High 5”!

At N’watimhiri waterhole there were a couple of Egyptian Geese

and a little steenbok who wasn't bothered at all by our presence …

Oh great, another WendyA TR!

Not sure how I missed this one, but I am on board now, and up to speed.

Superb sightings, with photos to match, so far Wendy, and looking forward to hearing what else you saw on this short trip with your Mom.

Baboons... you just have love them....Wow!! there seem to have been a lot of little ones in the troop. :dance:

It was very much like "the Royal wave" Barry but my Mum taught her dog to do "High Five" and I think the monkey reminded her of that! Thanks for your comments.
