Hi Tawny! How are you? Thanks for your comments. Yes, the baby elllie was amazing and could only have been a couple of minutes old when we came across him - just adorable. More coming up this evening.

As promised, here’s the continuation …

The last instalment that I posted … 2 and a half months ago … (OMG, has it really been that long???) was the start of day 2 in the park … here’s what happened shortly after taking the S28 where we saw the very wet kudu and the little bee-eater …

(It’s just taken me an hour and a half to upload 9 photos on to Photobucket … for some reason the 10th photo just will not upload and I am sick of trying now so only 9 photos in this instalment …)

And more of Mum’s favourite … ellies, including one who had a collar on and one who only had one tusk …

Then finally, a lilac breasted roller – mum was AMAZED by its colours!

Back on to the H4-2 and a little piggy running down the road …

Then half a dozen or so cars pulled over to the side of the road … I approached slowly, pulling up behind a safari truck. Next thing, the driver of the truck who was standing up, turned around … it was TINY!!! He told me that there was a leopard lying down behind a bush … Mum and I pulled in front of him to have a look and found it …

Not a great shot, but a leopard sighting is a leopard sighting!

We continued on to Lower Sabie where we had a quick break. The heavens had opened again and it was coming down in buckets. We drove on to Mlondozi - all was quiet at Sunset Dam apart from a croc, a couple of Egyptian Geese, and some hippos …

I couldn’t believe how green the park was in October …

We came across a cute steenbok and got the “usual” photo …

But madam decided to pose for a better shot …

Awesome Ellie sightings WendyA! The one in the first picture looks even bigger with his ears flapping! :shock:

Great shot of the beautiful LBR, and I love the Piggy tippy-toeing in such a hurry to who knows where! :dance:

Awesome scenery picture with the Giraffe and Impies amongst the green grass and bushes! :clap:

Glad the Steenbokkie felt guilty and turned around to pose for a lovely picture! :thumbs_up:

PS: As a matter of interest, I always resize my photo's by using the MircoSoft Office Picture Manager software, before I import them into photobucket. (Select a photo and right click. Choose open with and then select "MircoSoft Office Picture Manager". Resize and save each pic and then import). Hope it helps :whistle:

Hi Barry! Thanks for your comments. Yes that leopard sighting was a bit rubbish, but after I'd taken my photo for proof, we watched through binoculars and a couple of times it stirred and looked up so we actually had a better sighting than the photo shows! I also resize my photos before uploading them on to a photo sharing site ... if I'd left them full size I would probably STILL be waiting for them to upload! I hope I have better luck tonight!

At Mlondozi we admired the view through the rain; a couple of feathered friends came to visit us …

This cheeky vervet paid a visit to a family who were enjoying their breakfast and within seconds grabbed something from the table and jumped back up into the roof area.

There was a herd of buffalo who didn’t seem bothered by the rain

a couple of giraffe and a very wet bateleur …

We returned back to camp where it continued to pour down. We watched our neighbours get out their Cadac gas grill and do a poitjie – we had salad for dinner!
