Hi Wendy, Just read your report from page one. You obviously had a great trip. Love your photos of the baby elephant. Watching a youngster like that is so special. Your klipspringer shots are fantastic as well as the Tawny Eagle devouring his meal! Iknow how it is trying to photograph in the rain! But you still got your Cheetah photo.

I'm back!!!!

Life has been absolutely MANIC and although I'm not quite there yet, I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I thought I'd better continue with this TR for two reasons ...

First of all, I'm sure that as it's been such a long time since I posted, the Mods must be thinking about locking my TR!!!

Secondly, this TR's all done (I had to do it all for Mum's Coffee Table book Christmas pressie that she absolutely LOVED) so there's no excuse for not getting it put on here.

Oh, and there's a third reason ... Mum and I are back in the park in 2 weeks' time ... this time for 3 nights!!!

I'll reply to your comments now and will post the next bit of my Oct trip this evening.

Hi Linda! Thanks for your comments. Yes, we did have some great sightings despite the rain. I hope the weather is better for us in a couple of weeks' time! More coming up this evening ...

Hi Philip1. Thanks for your comments. Putting a TR together does take time but it is the next best thing to being back in the park - when writing my TRs I feel like I am there again; glad to hear that reading TRs does the same for you!

Heksie BBMd me over the weekend and I promised her I'd look at my Nov/Dec trip photos and post some on our fundraising thread. (Glad you liked the photo of the fish eagle she posted - what an AMAZING sighting that was!). xxx

Hi Timbits! Thanks for your comments (and for your PM which I'll reply to separately - I don't know where the time goes!). It really does look like a "milk moustache" on the kudu - you can even see the milk bubbles!!! More coming up later this evening ...

Hi Jeanie! It was so great to share my trip with my Mum ... and we are going back again in 2 weeks' time (and this time I've managed to persuade her to leave Dad for THREE nights!!!) The baby was adorable and an absolute once in a lifetime sighting - I wonder what special sighting Kruger has in store for us this time around? xxx

You are right, Mum now understands why I go to Kruger so often; also, as you said, she is definitely less reluctant to leave Dad now when it comes to Kruger ... were are off for 3 nights in a couple of weeks (though I am still really disappointed that I couldn't join you, David, Val and Richard).
