Hi Trrp-trrrrrrrr! Thanks for your comments! PS - your namesake has arrived in Kruger! I heard him when I arrived in Phalabowra on Thursday night and saw him singing his little heart out in a tree just north of Letaba yesterday!

We slept great despite the fact that the heavens opened and it bucketed down. Though still overcast at 5am when we got up, the rain had stopped. We were out of the gate just before 6am.

On the H4-2 we saw impala, zebra, and a couple of ellies …

A little further on and a leopard tortoise …

And a very wet looking raptor …

We took the S28 where we found some nice kudu …

And a gorgeous little bee eater who flew on to the road right in front of the car …

As you said, pity about the rain, but you were still having some great sightings.

That raptor sure looks wet and bedraggled, shame.

......while reading your lovely TR and looking at your great pics of Ellie, Impi, Tortie, Zebra, "gorgeous little Bee eater", Kudu etc., i was thinking how TR'S and pics can realy make a person reading it, feel if you with the Mites in the car doing the trip :mrgreen:

What another amazing trip to the Kruger. And to be able to spend it with your mum.......Priceless.

I loved the tiny little ellie , how adorable. And rain,hail or shine , Kruger always seems to be a magical place for us all.

I bet your mum will be begging to come back with you next time
