Day 2 Ending

Kruger Park Lodge. A place where Golf is taken rather seriously! One of the greatest challenges in golf is selecting the correct club. Something which this las has down to the tee! Of coarse a run up comes standard

Image

Note the direction of the ball! Image
Image

This lady was less than impressed when she discovered I'm taking photos of her golfing. I couldn't imagine why Image We left her to her own devices and chillaxed for a bit before heading out for an afternoon drive. The clouds were looking ominous as went through the routine of showing our wild cards and ID's at Phabeni gate.

As we got to the first Phabeni Bridge we saw ou Gerald Green Back holding fort at his fishing spot!
Image
Who knows how long Gerald has held up his fishing business on the structure of rocks and wire. Image

He is kept company by his companions – hammer and head! Image
Image

Beyond the usual suspects of Phabeni bridge, an Impi Warrior saluted in our direction! Image His afternoon salad was made up of the fresh, lush grass which has so recently sprung up Image Image

Cutting down Southwards on the Albasini road towards Pkop, a buff-fellow rated he rather fancied having a war with his food rather than eating it! Image
Image
Horns hooked tightly to the tiny bush, the brute slashed and thrashed around until the bush was sufficiently in second place! Buff-fellow had proved his dominance over the little green bush. Taking a stroll into the bush was the most enticing activity on my mind! Image
Image

That being all we saw on that road, our last sighting was a drenched Kudu!
Image

With the hand reaching out of the window, soft rain drops landed on my palm. Seconds later, I retracted my hand back inside the car as it was getting heavier! In hardly any time at all, the skies opened up and poured a heavy load of rain down on Kruger! Last nights rain had already formed puddles everywhere! Now more rain on top of that cause a situation of flooding!

Image Image
Image Image Image Image Image Image
Image Image
Image Image Image Image Image Image

Our last 'sighting' of the day involved an orange car parked on a hill contemplating going through a deep puddle of sorts in the road.
Image
With our Nissan Xtrail we made it through the obstacle, although we doubted the little car would manage! Based on this knowledge, my father pulled up and said: 'You'll make it easily, just build up some good speed” Image My mom clicked her tongue and opted for the truth instead! The friendly Dutch couple decided on turning around and heading for Pkop. Conservatives Image

We made the crucial call to Ouma back in Kruger Park Lodge to put 4 beers in the deep freeze, as we were coming to watch the Western Province beat the Sharks and take the cup! I'll drink to that
Image Image Image

Great episode Cheetah, The disadvantage of a small car sometimes turns out to be an advantage if a Lion appears on their return journey.

Great storry telling and great pics. Golf is the only sport which I have not tried yet.

Really looking forward to more

Now that bit of water was manageable for the orange car-well I would have taken up that challenge with the Getz. 8)
Now the buff bullying the leetle bushes must have been a laugh. Now what do you think was going on in his mind? :hmz:
Love hammer and head man  THey were there when we left as well :D
Now I have never seen someone play gholf like that  What do you call that two handed thing she was handling? Looks more like a lawn mower...

Ag nee man cheetaikie! :naughty: Don't make fun of the "ballsense-challenged" people out there... :rtm: Some of your best mite-friends may just be challenged in the same way! But I must say - what kind of a gholfclub is that??? :hmz:

How lovely to see KNP all green again. Love early summer - the fresh green shoots of grass and leaves on the trees. But I must say - rain while in KNP - is not my favourite thing. But I guess without the rain, none of those lovely green leaves would be there...

Loving your birdies and their fishing business, next time I'll know where to get the freshest fish

Lovely impi buff and kudu!!

That poor little car, I would've contemplated that mini pond a while longer before taking the plunge :| :| :|

That "golfer" must be a real pro in the garden - she has a good stance with her "weed-eater". Wonder how well it works on the golf course?

Yes, that rain really spoilt a few plans for a while . ..... with all the sand roads closed for at least four days and having to braai in the rain which wasn't fun either, and then getting wet trying to take photos when you opened the window .... but, at the end of the rainbow were the awesome sightings during the week. :D

So looking forward to reading more ....

Just read through your whole TR Cheetah  Luckily that little car didnt speed through that water, considering the mud, it would have been a disaster for them  (You would not have been able to differentiate between the mud and the car  )

I do agree! Sometimes a low car is what you need 8)
Mostly, what is important is a quiet car
