They seemed to be rather regular customers at both waterholes as others reported seeing lots of bateleurs at Polentswa as well and we got to see a bigger gathering of vultures at some later point in our trip. But I messed up the photos… Thoroughly.

Agree on the stately walk. But they are beautiful birds as well, methinks. Which can’t be said about vultures
but they are majestic, that’s for sure.

None more so than Steve, the Pom from Oz, who seemed to be very happy spending three months alone in his tiny one man tent and even tinier car, surrounded by what looked like very expensive camera and computer equipment.

Isn't it amazing how instant the connection is when chatting with people you meet that share the same interests! Would do anything to have an impromptu mini-meet somewhere in KTP right now
