I forgot a very nice new Mammal tick in Augrabies!
Never seen one of these before. First thought it was the usual Banded Mongoose, then realized it had no stripes. Back at camp we went to the shop and found a poster outside with all kinds of mammals you may find in Augrabies. :D

Even worse than forgetting the mongoose - I bypassed most of the reptiles we found!! Geckos, Agamas, skinks, whatnot. Sorry...

I do NOT know the names of these critters! To me they're like somebody saying we saw birds that fly?!

Augrabies

This gecko guarded the men's toilet at Af en Toe Picnic Spot

And now for something completely different. The larch! Eh, The videos I mean

These were taken with the 7D, and I notice it picks up sound a bit too well to my liking.

Two videos from which I removed the sound as it would only irritate. ;)

A thunderstorm at Kalahari tented camp:

The resulting sandstorm:

Nightsounds while watching the Kieliekrankie waterhole:

And a Brown Hyena at that waterhole, with some jackals. (Watch quickly, its only in view for a second).

I made a few backgrounds for larger monitors, so 16:9 dimensions, free for anyone to use.
If you might want them, here is where you can find them.

They were intended for own use, but people seems to like the photos, and I thought "Why not?" ;)
