Sorry to hear that Dungy was not feeling too well! Hope he has recovered completely? :(

Beautiful LBR, and that gorgeous Klipspringertjie! Fantastic!

Isn't that a great shot (close-up) of the little Vervet? Look at those beautiful, big eyes! :D

Are you already leaving for KZN on Monday?

Very nice pics and tales from the bush!
Thanks Val, enjoy the last ever few days.
Glad Dungie,s tum is better now.
A bit of info on the marks on the little Zebbie's face, as I understand it and have been lead to believe from my very knowledgeable daughter, its a form of grass mange, apparently caused by grazing in wet grass.

Hi Val and Dungy

Very belated Happy anniversary.
Just catching up. Can't believe your time is coming to a close. Seems just the other day you started posting your adventures here. Have a fabulous time in KZN, and sooo looking forward to those last 6 days. There's gonna be Cheetah in there! Holding thumbs!

Hi Noel.

Day 108 (Feb 16th)
Day at home, packing up.

Day 109 (Feb 17th)
This morning we had a quick drive up the H9 to the S131 turning, and then drove the S131 back to Phala.

There was a nice group of Zebbies at Masorini Waterhole, and a small troupe of Babooons at Erfplaas. Sadly Desi and the Klippies didn't come to say goodbye, so we must wait till October to see them again.

Along the S131 we saw a raptor, which I think is maybe a Steppe Buzzard, and then an African Hawk Eagle and a female Red-Backed Shrike.

We also saw a lovely group of Giraffes and a lone Buff before we got back to Phala Gate.

We then called at the pub and grill for our last meal there...........fillet steak for Dungy and chicken stirfry for me!!

Tomorrow we drive down the R40 and enter the park at Orpen. We will then drive out of the Paul Kruger Gate, to Burchells where we will be staying with Elsa for 4 nights!!!

Watch this space!!!

My goodness Val, has your time gone by already? Seems like just a couple of weeks ago we met at Letaba. Sad that our Phalaborwa reporter is going away, however you will enjoy the ocean for a few weeks.

That baboon looks sad, too, that you are going. :D :D Gorgeous shrike.

Enjoy the rest of your time in Kruger.
