Leanawel, thank you for the comment. It was indeed an 'odd' sort of sighting. :D

The ever present Grey herons - seems this one was a 'junior' as he was dipping the half eaten fish in the water a few times - as if he was practicing.

Leanawel and Goronta, thank you for the comments.

We will as I am off in 36 hours time. Hope Jan get some nice pics and enjoying the time. :D

Well, not all the action is outside the hide, some also inside the Lake Panic hide as this Striped Skink was checking things out.

Thank you all for the best wishes and Kaapsedraai for keeping LP gallery active.

Great sightings and images Kaapsedraai........a Vulture!!....you were so lucky

Sadly back at home but one of my best LP visits to date with some once in a lifetime sightings and images.(Spend over 20 hours at LP)

My first sightings at LP.....Elephants playing in the water....Jacobin Cuckoo...Hyena...Squacco Heron

I missed the Leopard with an hour but LP always delivers and had my best sighting of a young Fish eagle   and took my best behavior shots of my life with a stand off between a Fish Eagle and a young Bushbuck   .. (will upload them in the new year..... :hmz: )

As planned.... met up with Kaapsedraai and enjoyed a wonderful time together at LP:thumbs_up: . Kaapsedraai hope you had some great photo opportunities on your trip to the North, when you are back at LP next week and another brilliant TR for 2015

The sad moment for me was a man Fishing at LP :wall: :wall: Understand that it is part of the community involvement but surly not so near the hide where everybody can see him, disturbing the view and chasing away the birds and animals!! :(

Image

close up......

Image

May be Sanparks can give some feedback if he had permission and if so,why so near the hide!!

Thought to start with an image of the young Fish Eagle posing.....(please bear with me....will upload many images of the once in a lifetime sighting of the young Fish Eagle in the open :cam:

So let me introduce the young Fish Eagle.....

The bright blue jumpsuit so near to the hide is disconcerting. A distraction to anyone in the hide, and a deterrent to birds and animals that come to the water.
Great photo of the juvenile Fish Eagle though!
We always enjoy seeing your photos and posts!
