Good heavens Neilo

Do you have a photobucket or tiny pics, or Flikr account?

I see that you are still quite a newbie, welcome :D

Hello all,

Finally got it the pics figured . Many thanks to Jan van Wyk. This big-boy came cruising by with a reedbok ? in it's jaws. I was there with friends who were impatient (go figure kookoo), so I never saw what happened after.

Grey Herons feeding baby. We were in Kruger in Nov 2010, and Dec 2011 and both times they were there with a new chick.

We were there when about 25 elephants came to drink. They were next to the hide on the right hand side. They could smell us, and inquisitive trunks were searching us out through the viewing windows. One youngster decided to wade in, within touching distance....

Jan,

What a fantastic pic. The light is brilliant, and it really captures the mood of the place.

Beautiful picture of the Goliath Herons Jan! I love those birds!

Neilo, your pictures are awesome too! Beautiful Ellie and a great shot of those Grey Herons too!

I would never been able to leave that Croc with it's prey before I saw the whole drama! May I suggest you take some patient friends with when you go to LP again?

It was a crazy day as I was with friends and we were going to leopard creek for 4 days of golfing. I did'nt have the freedom that my own transport would have given me. One guy saw a leopard in the road in the morning (at a ridiculous 10am (after wasting the best time of the day) , this later, and then heading down to Melalane 3 sable antelope in the road. He drove on after 2 minutes of looking at the sable antelope. ' they looked nice' :wall: he said. Have not seen sable or roan in 6 visits

Time can be a problem Neilo! What a pity that you had all these wonderful sightings with no time to really enjoy them! :(

Maybe next time!

Only the croco day was cut short. The rest I was there with family, and could spend hours

Some advice, take garden cushions to the park (if you have space). I takes the 'bumbreak' outta those rock hard dinning chairs :o
