Not the best of pics - the guys with the big lenses got great shots though!

It really struggled to swallow the fish

Was not successful though and walked off with its prize

Moments after this a fish eagle swooped down on it, the heron dropped the fish and the eagle had a free meal!!
(Unfortunately no pics of the steal)

Tx Naoni, only a short weekend until Monday but will spend a lot of time at LP and hope the Hippo's will be there when the sun rising and we sitting under a blanket......... :D

Jan I agree that Lake Panic is the most beautiful place in Kruger and I really enjoy your excellent photos. We , my wife Shirleymargate, were in Kruger last month and I would like to share a few photos with you and the other forumites. Please enjoy......
