BluTuna, lovely series of weavers building nests. Just amazing to watch them doing the weaving of the grass. :thumbs_up:

Jan, when looking at these herons, I am always amazed how they managed to get those large bodies off the ground and then landing with so much control. Lovely photo. :thumbs_up: :cam:

Hi Jan.
Wonderful photos as always! I browsed through your last couple of posts and came across your 7 May photo of a Thick-billed Weaver and a heron. I am pleased to tell you that it isn't a Common Squacco Heron but actually a quite rare male Little Bittern! Well done. The dark part on the wings and its relative size against the weaver is the give-away. Squacco Herons have white wings and are a bit larger.

vinkie, I am using a old Canon 40D with a 400mm lens.......dreaming about a Mark 1v with a 500mm lens... :think:

It is almost winter time at LP and a change to capture the Hippo's spray before sunrise...but the timing must be perfect!!

Magnificent! The water particles, the mist and with the sun makes it spectacular!! The circle and bit of water splash to the right add to the uniqueness of the photo. An image that asks one to stay longer, searching and finding it in your soul. For me the best photo of you that I have seen so far! :clap: :clap:
