Thank you for the positive comments.

I always watch the Croc at LP,but never thought he/she is so big.
Luckily you can see his full length in the water. He must be many years old and about 5 to six meters long.
It must be his territory and in charge of LP for many many years......

It surely is a very big Croc Jan! Thanks for sharing!

I wonder how a Croc's age is determined? :hmz:

This is quite an interesting looking one, Jan. Well spotted. :cam:

He was posing just right so one can clearly see the wings. Great shot once again.

Just shows you the variety that exists at the Lake.

Hi Jan
This dragonfly is a "Banded Groundling" (Brachythemis leucososticta. This is a male as the female does not have the wing bands.
Great photo - nice to see the clarity of the wing veins and pterostigma (the white spot towards the top outer edge of the wings)
Thanks for sharing it with us

Appreciate the comments

Thanks for the ID PAPA SMURF :D

My first sighting of the Oxpeckers and LP. Landing on a Hippo's back for a quick drink.

The other Hippo gave them the stare!!!

Jan,

When I see your shots, it can't be a simple LAKE , it could be what we call sometimes and somewhere EDEN ....

Thanks again

Love the stare of the hippo, Jan. :cam:

These Oxpeckers are just a different species...sit on who ever they want and do whatever they love...

Great moment captured, once again.
