KarenB you are gonna LOVE it! It took us quite a few visits to KNP before we discovered it - but since then, a visit to Lake Panic is a MUST if we are in the area!

Just don't tell too many people... It's starting to get quite crowded there at times...

KarenB, if you are going this weekend, you might bump into Jan van Wyk as he will be there in next 3 days. I am actually  . You are going to love it - a tip: do not just go in thinking nothing is happening. You have to spend time there as the action will come to you. Be also on the look-out for the resident leopard between the Lake Panic turn off and the staff village turn-off on the tar road.

Enjoy it and let us know how you have experienced it.

Thank you for comments - it is appreciated.

On the far side of the lake, the hippos like to enjoy some sunbathing and now and then there is some action taking place accompanied with heavy grunting - beautiful Lake Panic music.

Thank you for the comments.

Kaapsedraai super fly by image.  and great image of the resident Hippos

The best time to photograph a sunrise at LP is during wintertime.

This one is a reminder of the beautiful sunrise from last year and can't wait to visit LP for 6 days in a row

Only 2 days to go.... LP deliver always....

Kaapsedraai, what a superb picture of the Hippos at Lake Panic, with all the Water Lilies in front!

Jan, that is the most beautiful sunrise that I have seen in a very long time, and, as you know, all sunrises or sunsets are beautiful, but this one is brilliant!

Jan - you must enjoy the days at LP and we are looking forward to some great photos. I wish I could be there hence feel a bit  . Nevertheless, drive safely and enjoy every minute at the 'Lake'.

In May'09 during our 1st visit to Kruger, this view made me fell in love with LP...
