Another sms (got to hand it to this musketeer, he might not be keen on the tights...but the rest is all there)

Quote:
Best is... I did not bring my battery charger...
Luckily Jazil has a camera so only sightings we don't have record of are juvenille eagles and baby ellie.

The I asked him if at least the light shining in the north was his new spotlight...

Quote:
Lol no it's not my torch, but the torch is the bomb. Biggest in camp by far. Gonna sign off now!

Wonderful morning in the Park. Overcast and cool. Slept in a bit and leaving camp in 30 mins. Can see it rained, grass shooting up everywhere.

Good Morning!

Grrr...Loams!!!

Got this from him:

Quote:
Ok, in case you were fooled. (we were? )
Masses of general game. Had a good day, no, great day.

Ellie sleeping on tree. Lots of general game, rhino, lions, buff, masses of babs, hippo, bateleur, crowned eagle, hippo fight. A really good day. Sorry was engrossed with where I was and forgot to send updates.

It is howling with rain in Skukuza. Threatened for an hour and then it came down. No power.

Loams says it is pouring down at the moment! Must be something to see. 8)

Poor Loams ... I know he asked WendyJ to pack his camera batteries ..

Now he gets the blame

Don't worry buddy ... we know the truth ...

Well what can I say, but being the true gentleman that I am, I will not drop my lady to be ridiculed

Wow!! What a trip, I now need a weekend to recouparate from all the driving.

I will post a trip report a little later, but just wanted to quickly pop in and greet everyone ;-)

Biyamiti is great. Wish we stayed there the whole time. Van Rooi wasn't there but we were assisted by Stephen Nel. What a stand up chap as well. Gave me no issues whatsoever for being late.

The impies are very pregnant and must be getting ready to drop any day now. We did however see the one very tiny baby ellie and three newborn (about 3 day old) impala's down south at the bottom on the S25. Everywhere it was burnt, grass is shooting up. In fact the parts where it got burnt were much greener where it didn't burn. Even some trees that got pushed over had fresh leaves. After Saterday nights rain there were pools of water all over the park next to the roads. On sunday we didn't see much, but almost all the Impala herds were lying down during the day having a nap (Some were even lying head down on the ground sleeping). It must have been a rough night for them as there were thunder almost the whole night. I think the weather station's report that it had 27mm was incorrect. It had to be more!! Anyhow, need to do somw work, so I can't write a whole report now, but will do so later today.

Thanks DB for doing my updates!!

Till later!!
