Jip you guessed right!! :D

It's THAT time of the year again. That time of the year when I've packed my car.... threw the stress out of my window, kicked the problems out of the boot and AM HEADING DOWN TO KRUGER  OH YEAH so excited

Doing my dream trip: North to South in 16 days, entering via Pafuri gate and hopefully leaving Malelane on the first day of 2011 :D

I plan to cover most parts of Kruger, fill my Kruger passport and just enjoy the wonderfull silence and treasures of mother earth

Enough of the bragging (not my intention  ) however, I plan to do a TRIP REPORT some time when I am back, and am confident I will not discontinue it like my last Kruger TR... seems I am getting more time now

Hope to chat to you guys soon

I'm not the guy to try and break personal records, but this morning I set a new record :) Close giraffe, zebra, warthogs and kudu sightinhgs, a leopard in tree with carcass, 2 female, 1 male and 5 lions cubs on the road, 1 ellie, 5 rhino, 3 buffs and lastly 5 wilddogs and other general game in exactly 3,5 hours  And it didn't stop there today  WOW what a day :)

Hey guys :D

I'm back from a very long awesome and memorable trip  It was awesome that I had the opportunity to do this trip, and I can honestly say I found myself again...... I got new energy, new motivation, new objectives and hope again, and feel truly blessed.

Didn't meet many formites, but to those I did, it was a great honour. Sparrow, I hope you had many more sightings after we have spoken in Letaba. Say cheers to your mate  I'll PM you anyways :) Pathfinder, nice to meet you and your lovely family :D

For the polite and wise man I met at Berg-en-Dal (formite name something like MND if I remember correctly?) nice meeting you, I get it that you have really learned to appreciate life.... I have good memories sitting at that Dam..

TR will probably start end of this week, but unlike other times I will unfortunately not write nice stories, it will be more of a pic trip report with short descriptions.

Talk later :D

Ok ok.....

I guess I'll have to start at some stage, seeing that April is getting closer and closer. I simply have no time for long descriptive stories and info like I used to do...! Anyway, sharing the pics with you do is enough, they speak for themselves. You may ask me for specific questions though, I will reply ;)

We entered Kruger via Pafuri, and worked our way down to Punda Maria, where we stayed the first two nights!

Day 1: 17 December 2010

Pafuri Gate *I prefer it to Punda gate!*

Hi there :)

Ok....uhm. Looks like we had a little interruption here  Let's continue...

The second day was the most quiet of all days, and I must say I took it easy myself. Didn't feel like taking too many pictures, so settled for less ;)

We went to Shingwedzi, along the Mphongolo loop which is a frim favorite of mine. This time around, it was still a bit quiet. But who needs cats and dogs to see the true beauty of Northern Kruger. The fauna and Flora are enough for me!

Image

Beautiful wild hibiscus, like you only get along the Mphongolo loop.....
Image

Image

Lovely Grysbokkie
Image

Image

The lovely Shinwedzi river... how do I long now!

Immature Fishy?

One big@ss baboon, a real monster. The Monster of Shingwedzi
Image

Soooo beautiful :)

And so the day ended with a herd of Kudus close to the gate at Punda camp... Such a bushy, lovely lovely place....

'Tomorrow' we're heading south, towards Tzendze!

Till then
