Sprocky Change in seasons

Unread postby Sprocky » Tue Oct 26, 2010 7:59 am

I have just come up with this idea, and Mods, if you feel it should be posted some where else please move it.

I am going to post a pic taken in the same spot every week and roughly at the same time of day. This will show how the vegetation changes from week to week. The photo is of a rocky outcrop across the road from my house. The weather is a bit overcast and gloomy this morning and we had more rain last night

Here is the first one. (26/10/2010)

I have taken this weeks photo this morning, one day early as I won't be at home tomorrow or Wednesday morning. Todays pic was taken at 06h49. We had some good rain last night so things should start changing soon.

We have had more very good rain over the past few days and the change should be more visible daily from now. Here is today's pic (09/11/2010) taken at 06h48.

The change is happening very fast now. What I have decided to do today is to post two pics, the first one taken two weeks ago and then todays one. This will give a better indication of the change without having to go back a page or two.

The first pic taken on 01/11/2010 and the second one today 16/11/2010 at 06h52.

Today I have a slight change in plan again. Once again two pics, the first one is the first shot on the thread taken on 26/10/2010 and the second and one taken this morning (30/11/2010) at 06h48. This is to show the total change over the past few weeks.

OK everyone, there is now a change in plan on the change in seasons. I moved house yesterday so I no longer have the rock across the road from me. Luckily most of the dramatic change has taken place already. This will probably be the last posting regarding the change. I still do have a very limited view of the rock from my new front stoep, albeit from a bit of a distance. Thanks for following the change and here is a pic of the new view of the rock.
