Nico-Videos HIGHLIGHTS in KrugerPark 2010

Unread postby Nico » Mon Sep 20, 2010 5:31 pm

We were for nearly 8 weeks in South Africa [july and august] and we had 4 weeks Kgalagadi and 3 1/2 weeks KrugerPark. We saw lots and lots of animals. My wife made 30.000 photos and my son about 15.000 photos. I shot for about 22 hours of film. I like to show you our HighLights that we had in KrugerPark by video. Hope you will enjoy it.
Misty Morning in Krugerpark. Sometime there is a fog in nature of KrugerPark that makes a mysterious atmosphere especially with animals in it.

Elephants are always highlights and we saw them from the north to the south. Not that much as we expected but quite a few. Always nice to see young ellies and of course when you are visiting Olifants camp, from the lookout you can find very often the Elephants down in the riverbed.

Thanks Micetta, africawildlife.nl and Pumbaa and yes Pumbaa, what will Kruger be without Elephants.

During our trip we often see oxpeckers annoying the animals. I always stop for filming them. In this next video, you will see some annoying Oxpeckers.

We saw 5 Leopards in KrugerPark but I filmed only four of them as you can see in this video. The Leopard, number one on nearly everybodys list.

Thanks guys and yes, we were very lucky.

Near Red Rocks we saw Birds of Prey with a snake. A Tawny Eagle had a snake and he took the snake with him but he lost the snake and a juvenile Bateleur was looking for the snake but good not find it. Great to be so close with a juvenile Bateleur.

On one of our trips near Talamati, we found a group of young Lions laying around very lazy. Waiting for the call of mother calling for dinner

Between Punda & Pafuri, KrugerPark. One of the most beautiful parts of KrugerPark is the North between Punda Maria and Pafuri.

I filmed a Red Billed Oxpecker hanging on the nose of an Impala. The Impala had a little wound above his nose and the Oxpecker was digging it out probably for blood. This can lead to a major infection and the death of the Impala. :?
