Sorry, I have not been very informative on this subject, and I have been busy as well, some of us do have jobs as well....to answer some questions, we will draw the winner from the numbers only, to make it fair. Some people from other countries have entered, they have 'roaming' facilities.
Our biggest aim with this competition is to fund around R12,000 for two new entrance doors at the Elephant Hall in Letaba. The doors have been completed, and will be in Phalaborwa next week, we hope! The doors have cost us around R9000, but when you see them you will agree that they look great.
They have to be installed, and the existing doors will be moved to the entrance of the auditorium. Some repairs have to be effected, and the cost just climbs.
Another project we are running, is the upgrade of the Phalaborwa gate. To date we have spent around R11,000 on this; new benches, fountain, plants, table, pots etc, etc. We are very excited to see the end result, and make Phalaborwa gate the best in the KNP.
On a much sadder note, the Swannie fund is now going to help his wife. Swannie passed away two days ago, and we are all very sad, especially people who knew him. Please keep his wife, Louisa, and his children in your prayers. We have lost a great man, friend, father and conservator.
Thank you all for your SMS's, we have recieved only 1200 so far, and need more, please. 50/50 have done their bit, and will again, thanks guys!

Sometimes KNP seems on the other side of the planet for us down here in the Colony ... but we have our fun this sides as well
